Omnilex Privacy Policy

How Omnilex handles your data while you browse.

This Privacy Policy applies to Omnilex by Lexora, including the Omnilex browser extension and its related extension services. It explains what information Omnilex uses, how that information supports the product, and the choices you have.

Last updated: April 13, 2026

1. Scope

Omnilex is the Lexora extension that highlights vocabulary from your learning track on webpages, lets you review known words or unlock new ones in context, and syncs that activity back to your Lexora account.

2. Information Omnilex uses

Depending on how you use Omnilex, we may process the following categories of data:

  • Account details such as your Lexora user ID, email address, and display name.
  • Authentication and session data needed to keep you signed in securely.
  • Learning data such as selected track, mastery, review ratings, unlocks, and progress state.
  • Extension settings such as theme, highlighting preferences, and tutorial state.
  • Website text that is processed in your browser so Omnilex can detect matching words from your learning track.

3. How Omnilex uses this information

Omnilex uses this information to:

  • Authenticate you and connect the extension to your Lexora account.
  • Highlight words from your active learning track on webpages you visit.
  • Show definitions, recall actions, and in-context learning controls.
  • Sync review activity, unlocks, preferences, and extension progress with Lexora.
  • Keep the extension reliable, secure, and consistent across sessions.

4. How webpage content is handled

Omnilex is designed to analyze page text locally in your browser so it can identify words from your learning track and render highlights on the page.

Omnilex is not designed to sell webpage content, use it for advertising, or build a separate browsing history profile about you. The extension syncs learning-related data needed to operate Omnilex and Lexora, such as word interactions, ratings, settings, and account state.

5. What Omnilex does not request as part of normal use

Omnilex is not intended to collect the following categories of information as part of its core functionality:

  • Financial or payment information.
  • Health information.
  • Personal communications such as email or chat message content.
  • Precise location information.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate Omnilex and Lexora, such as hosting, authentication, database, and infrastructure providers.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the security, rights, and safety of Lexora, Omnilex, our users, or others.

7. Data retention

We retain account, settings, and learning data for as long as necessary to provide Omnilex and Lexora, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain service integrity. Some locally stored extension data may remain on your device until you sign out, clear extension storage, or remove the extension.

8. Your choices

You can stop using Omnilex at any time, disable highlighting, change extension settings, sign out of the extension, or remove the extension from your browser. You may also request account updates or deletion by contacting us.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect Omnilex and the data connected to it. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
